Abstract

ABSTRACT

A child's social skills can be improved by various methods or by different types of play activities. One that can be used is cooperative play activities. The social skills of early childhood in RA Taslim Payakumbuh are not optimal and still need to be improved. There are not responsibility when putting the bag that has been taken back into place. There are also children who have not been able to follow the rules and have not been able to manage themselves when marching on the school field. Therefore, this study was conducted to improve children's social skills through cooperative play.  This type of research is classroom action research (PTK). The results of this research showed that the improvement of social skills of children through cooperative play has increased. In the first cycle was 59%. In the second cycle was 89%. Meanwhile, teacher observation carried out in the first cycle was 56%. In the second cycle was 94%. From the improvement of each cycle carried out, it can be concluded that this study succeeded in improving children's social skills through cooperative play.
